Our Therapeutic Approach

Our staff are highly trained in advanced therapeutic pain relief techniques for chronic and acute conditions requiring more in-depth knowledgeable work. Our in-depth understanding of human anatomy and kinesiology sets us apart. We take our time to understand the patient’s background and tailor the treatment to what is needed on that precise day. You will emerge visibly and noticeably renewed, refreshed, and relaxed.

Medical & Myofascial Release

Our medical massage techniques approach common pain patterns from a myofascial release perspective, working without lubrication to “iron-out” constricted fascia. We combine these deep-tissue techniques with postural re-education, active assisted stretching and range of motion exercises to effectively  improve mobility and circulation, while eliminating stress, tension and common pain. These techniques are deep and profound. You will emerge feeling longer, leaner, and more aware of how to prevent postural distortions.

Neuro-muscular Therapy

Neuro-muscular therapy uses deep pressure holds on trigger points of tension to release common pain patterns. Employing little to no lubrication, this is effective deep-tissue at its best.

Micro-current Pain Relief

Clinical study results show up to 75% improvement in pain intensity after only one 55-minute session.  This non-invasive, non-pharmaceutical option – no risk of opiate addiction, manages pain by applying a small 4Hz micro-current to trigger points, specific muscle, tendon and ligament origin and insertion points and fascial meridian points of the body. Results vary by condition and person but are often felt within 24 hours.

Using traditional acupressure techniques on the feet, hands and/or the face, reflexology stimulates nerve endings and muscular attachment points to help relieve pain, stimulate self healing and renew depleted energy.

Geothermal therapy uses hot and cold stones to releve muscle tension, activate the circulatory system, induce the relaxation response and restore energetic balance in the spinal energy centers. A deeply relaxing and nurturing treatment.

Seamlessly blending acu-pressure, assisted stretching and breathing techniques, these deeply relaxing and rejuvenating massage is received dressed. Used for centuries in medicinal art, Thai massage has its roots in ancient Ayurvedic and Oriental medicine. A truly singular experience in relaxation, rejuvenation and introspection.

In-Clinic Oriental Medicine

Traditional oriental medicine has been in use for over 5,000 years. Clinically researched in modern medical settings, its has a proven track record of effectively controlling pain and treating a variety of endocrine, circulatory and systemic conditions. This non-invasive system helps the brain and spinal chord secrete neurotransmitters that influence the immune system, normalizing the autonomic nervous system and regulating the body towards homeostasis. Recognized by international health organizations to be effective in the treatment of a wide variety of medical problems including: Cancer, MS, Parkinson’s, Bell’s Palsy, Gastro-intestinal disorders, Osteoarthritis, hormonal imbalances, infertility, migraines, insomnia, anxiety, sciatica and more,

Traditional Acupuncture

Acupuncture is non-invasive and has little to no side effects. Ultra fine “hair-like” sterilized disposable needles are inserted superficially at specific points in the body, often without requiring the patient to undress. Treatments may last from 30-50 minutes.

  • Affects the body’s electrical system by creating closed-circuit transport in tissues, facilitating the transfer of material and electrical energy between normal and injured tissue.
  • Stimulates the release of nor-epinephrine, acetylcholine, and other natural opioids produced by the body, which normalize the autonomic nervous system to reduce pain.
  • Stimulates the secretion of beta-endorphins and enkephalins in the brain and spinal chord, influencing the immune and anti-nociceptive systems.
``NADA`` Auriculotherapy

“NADA” Auriculotherapy involves the gentle placement of up to five small, “hair-like” sterilized disposable needles into specific sites on each ear.

This adjunct therapy is clinically effective, cost-efficient, drug-free and compatible cross-culturally. It can easily be established within behavioral health, addiction or disaster relief settings, in an individual or group setting. The combined application of acupuncture with counseling, education, medical support and self-help groups such as AA and NA enhances opportunities for success.

This non-invasive protocol applies a small 4Hz electrical stimulus to acupuncture points of the body. The electrical pulse creates a closed circuit transport in tissues which facilitates healing by a slowing the transfer of material and electrical energy between normal and injured tissue.

Discovered when treating facial paralysis patients with Bell’s Palsy, the Acu-lift protocol uses “super fine “hair-like” sterilized disposable needles on superficial points of the head, face and neck to stimulate the surge in elastin, collagen and blood flow. It works as effectively as laser resurfacing, micro-dermabrasion and chemical peels, but without the chemicals, downtime or invasiveness.

Ideal for fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars bags under eyes, double chins, stretch marks, hair loss, loose skin and even cellulite. For best results, the recommended course of treatment is 2-3 sessions per week over a 3-5 week period.

Laser Acupuncture

The use of laser light as an alternative to needles to stimulate acupuncture points has been promoted for almost three decades. Relevant studies evidence and  support the use of laser acupuncture in the treatment of myofascial pain, postoperative nausea and vomiting and for the relief of chronic tension headache. Laser acupuncture is a viable alternative to more traditional acupuncture for the management of these conditions.

Typically administered in conjunction with acupuncture, moxibustion is an alternative therapy that involves burning the Mugwort or Artemisa herb and applying the resulting heat to specific points on the body.

The heat generated during moxibustion helps increase the flow of vital energy throughout the body via meridians channels of energy. Stimulating the flow of this energy is essential to achieve wellbeing.

Moxibustion is considered unsafe for people with diabetes or while pregnant.

``I want to voice my thanks to DeNatura Wellness and recommend them to anyone who would like some help in reducing stress, moderating bad habits and improving their life. I have a stressful job as a commercial banker and had for many years blunted my daily stress through overindulging in food and drink after work and even started smoking again after 20 years on the wagon. Therapeutic massage and acupuncture treatments at DeNatura helped to significantly reduce my stress and not only has it left me feeling far better and healthier; it has helped me to scale back my bad habits.``
